Welcome to my blog about my newest book Sounding Thunder: The Stories of Francis Pegahmagabow. Francis was my great-grandfather and an undisputedly great man. His accomplishments as the most decorated Canadian Aboriginal soldier for bravery, and the most prolific sniper in North American military history, are noteworthy. His extensive contributions to his community, family, and early Indigenous political movements and cultural revitalization, are what truly make him a hero.
